Ontario reported an additional 409 cases of COVID-19 for a second straight day on Friday, with about three-quarters of those cases found in the Greater Toronto Area.

This year, as part of a virtual Orange Shirt Day ­– on Wednesday, Sept. 30 – Western’s Office of Indigenous Initiatives (OII) and the Indigenous Student Centre (ISC) are encouraging members of the Western community to mark the event by purchasing and wearing a customized orange shirt.

Two additional long-term care facilities in London are reporting positive cases of the coronavirus, the same day the public health unit saw another double digit spike in the region's case count.

Canada West has announced that the 2020 Canada West Golf Championships scheduled for October 2 to 4 in Kelowna have been cancelled.
