Sports:
- Monday evening inside Thames Hall, the Western Mustangs men’s basketball team faced another unknown foe in the Grand Valley State Lakers
- The Lakers are a Division II school in the N.C.A.A., and showed their dominance, early and often in their 83-48 victory over Western
- The Mustangs could not handle or match the Grand Valley State toughness and seemed to buckle last night at Thames Hall
- Many players appealed to the officials for calls, and spent much of their complaining moments on their backsides, while the Lakers were continuing the play
- Head Coach Campbell said the team will be right back at practice on Tuesday, and will be attempting to evaluate and correct recurring mistakes over the next 3 weeks off, as well as get his players into game shape
- Western will have to wait until September 26th before they will be on the hardwood against competition again.  The Mustangs will be facing the St. Clair College Saints at Western’s more familiar stomping grounds, Alumni Hall

Weather:
- Humidity will play a bit of factor this afternoon to say the least, as we reach our high this afternoon of 29 it will feel more like 40
- Please make sure to stay hydrated and abstain from physical activity outdoors
- This evening doesn’t provide much relief with it only dropping down to 25, feeling more like 35 with the humidity
- We could see foggy patches overnight, with the humidity still making it feel like 30
- Not much relief in the weather tomorrow either, as we expect a high of 31 with it feeling more like 42 degrees
- Currently it is 23 degrees, feeling closer to 30 with a few clouds around the city
