Halloween deserves to be celebrated in all its spooktacular glory. Who doesn’t love costume parties, screaming your way through a haunted house, or eating sugary treats?

As the scariest day of the year approaches this Thursday, check out these Halloween-themed events that will fulfill all your spooky season needs:

  1. ByronScaryHouse 2019: The Abandoned Orphan Asylum

The ByronScaryHouse invites you to their 16th annual Haunted House…but there’s no guarantee you'll make it out alive. This year’s theme is “The Abandoned Orphan Asylum,” where guests can experience the blood-soaked story of an abandoned 1950s orphanage. Be prepared for screams, scares, and a whole lot of fun.

The Haunted House is open tonight, and Wednesday, October 30th to Friday November 1st from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m each night. Admission is by donation (a suggested donation of $10 or a non-perishable food item is accepted).

  1. Spend your Halloween at VRcadia, London’s own Virtual Reality lounge

As a University city, Halloween in London often means house parties or nights at the bar. But if you want to avoid the crowded bar scene, head to VRcadia’s first ever Halloween celebration.  

On Thursday, October 31st from 8:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., you can drink Halloween themed cocktails, craft beers, or local wines at VRcadia’s unique Virtual Reality lounge. They will be hosting a costume contest, and over a dozen haunted Virtual Reality experiences.

Tickets can be purchased on Eventbrite for $15. This is a 19+ event.

  1. Halloween Carnival at The Rec Room

London’s biggest gaming playground is hosting a Halloween Carnival on Thursday, October 31st. At the Rec Room, guests can enjoy unlimited game play, music, a costume contest, and more!

The Rec Room is a new and exciting edition to the city of London. Whether you’re a fan of classic games like skee-ball or prefer challenging your friends to the latest video game, the Rec Room has it all.

Advanced tickets can be purchased here for $25, or for $30 at the door.

  1. Fanshawe Pioneer Village presents, The Halloween Haunt: Danger

Something strange is happening in the Village of Fanshawe. Black spots are popping up under people’s fingernails, skin is turning freezing cold, and eyeballs are turning grey…but nobody knows why.

The Halloween Haunt: Danger from the Dead is a show that will scare your socks off. Performers take you on a walking tour that meanders off the Village roads, providing a truly terrifying experience.

There are only three more show dates, so make sure to purchase tickets before they sell out! Tickets are only $14, with shows happening Saturday, October 26th, Sunday, October 27th, and Wednesday, October 30th, from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

  1. PunFest 2019: A Pun-Tastic Way to Spend Your Saturday Night

“Why are graveyards noisy? Because of all the coffin!” Or, how about this one: “What’s a ghost’s favourite dessert? I-Scream!”

If you prefer the giggles over screams, make sure to come out to London’s first ever PunFest TONIGHT at Brown and Dickson Booksellers on 567 Richmond Street, Pundon, Ontario.

PunFest is a pun competition, where competitors sign up to pun their heads off in front of a live audience! Admission is by donation, with a suggested donation of $10. This is also a costume party, so make sure to wear your Halloween costumes!
