-The Centre of Advanced Diagnostic imaging and Therapeutics will be created based on a new partnership between Western, London Health Centre, St. Joseph's Health Care London, and Siemens Healthineers. The co-operation will provide a large number of funds for further research in diseases.
- The local "electro-swing" band 'Tell It to Sweeney' will perform on New Year's Eve at Victoria Park starting at 7p.m. A coordinator of the Road to New Year's Eve contest named James Stewart said the quality of all the performances will be incredible this year.
- Today, the Ontario Secondary School Teacher's Federation will host the second day of strikes, closing many public high schools. The Ontario Education Minister Stephen Lecce urged the union to call off the strike and announced cost figures for the federal's contract proposals.
-The Mustangs water polo team took fifth place at the OUA championships, ending up with a convincing win in the consolation round against Ottawa Gee-Gees.
- Expected temperature of minus 8 degrees on Thursday with a mix of sun and clouds, temperatures will rise above 0 with some showers on Friday and current negative 8 degrees today with expected flurries.
