CAMPUS:

  • Western University has raised $619, 475 for the 2019 United Way Elgin Middlesex Campaign, part of the school’s tradition of supporting the agency and people who use the services.

 

  • Results night was held in The Spoke last evening at 7:00pm, with lots of excitement, and many students showing their support. The USC president is Matt Reesor!

LOCAL:
 

  • On Thursday morning, the 14th Annual Breakfast for Youth Opportunities Unlimited (YOU) took place at RBC Place in London.

 

  • Keith Merker, the chief executive of London-headquartered cannabis company, voluntarily exited the top job and the company’s board, making way for a new leader to take the firm to the next level.

SPORTS:

  • The Mustangs' Men’s Fencing team brought home a bronze medal at the 2020 OUA Championships hosted by Brock University last weekend.

  • Expect a cloudy weekend with a high of -5 on Saturday and -1 on Sunday, plus mixed precipitation on both days. It is currently -6 degrees with an expected high of -5 in the late afternoon.
