-Today marks the start of online classes for students at Western University
-No on-campus examinations will take place - professors have even been given the green-light to cancel them all together in favour of re-weighting their courses. Other options include take-home alternative summative assignments or in rare cases, professors can choose to give a grade of pass/fail in the course.
-A group of Western students have set up a grocery shop-and-delivery service available to anyone that has self-quarantined or are at high risk of COVID-19 infection.
-Many bars on Richmond Row closed yesterday, including Joe Kools, Ceeps, and the Barking Frog. Coming with it has been a much quieter St. Patrick’s day this year
-Many local London businesses and groups have come together and created some great initiatives to support community members
-In a letter to city hall this week, it was requested that more shelter sites be opened to serve anyone who requires access to them
-Canada and the U.S. are finalizing a deal to close their shared border to non-essential travel
-Things are warming up in the next couple of days, with an expected temperature of 13 degrees and a mix of sun and clouds heading our way on Thursday. Moving onto Friday, expect a temperature of 16 degrees with a few showers. It is currently 3 degrees with clouds.
