Ontario is reporting 797 new cases of the novel coronavirus on Thursday, a new provincial record of cases within a 24-hour period since the pandemic began.

Western will continue the current mixed model with both in-person and virtual courses in the winter semester, making the announcement just weeks after claiming on-campus classes were “in jeopardy” if cases continued to rise.

As part of efforts to assist businesses financially impacted by the novel coronavirus pandemic, the City of London is extending temporary patio rules beyond normal fall expiry dates through to the end of 2020.

In a release on Wednesday, the city says businesses wishing to take advantage of the extension should contact the Back to Business (B2B) team via their email id.

The Ontario Hockey League will have to try to remove physical contact, including body checking, if it's to have a 2020-21 season.

Today has been a bright sunny day with daytime highs of 16. The mercury will dip to 5 overnight. Tomorrow will see a very similar pattern. Saturday will see a good chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon accompanied with temperatures peaking at 27 while Sunday will see weather similar to today.
